We assess your mobility, balance, and safety within your living space, then provide education on fall reduction techniques and recommended home modifications. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and environmental adaptations to safely maintain your independence.

Based on the assessment, our team will develop a customized plan of modifications. Recommendations may include grab bars, ramps, non-slip flooring, improved lighting, and other changes. These solutions will be tailored to improve accessibility and reduce fall risks.

What is an Occupational Therapist?

Occupational therapists  work together with people who have a limited ability to carry out everyday activities because of illness, injury or disability.  Occupational therapists help people live independently.  They help clients meet goals to develop, recover, improve, and maintain skills needed for daily living, such as getting dressed, making a meal, using the toilet, moving around and much more.

How much does Be Able charge for services?

Face-to-face assessments, reports and non-face tasks: $135/hour + GST. Travel: charged at the hourly rate of $67.50/hour + GST. Reports and other non-face to face tasks: charged at the hourly rate. Ministry of Health funding may be available for equipment and modifications for eligible people, therefore the solutions recommended may come at no cost.

What are the wait times for an assessment?
